Dear Parent/ Care giver
On Tuesday the 10 April, we are attending the ‘North
Canterbury Sport and Recreation Trust Rakahuri Sports Spectacular’ at
Southbrook Park. This is an opportunity for our Yr 3 students to participate in
“have a go” sessions and learn some new sporting skills. The children will be split into groups, and
rotate around the sports stations.
We will be walking down to the park at 9.00 and returning to
school at 2.15pm. We would appreciate
parent help to walk down to the park and return to school. Parents are also

Newsletter Week 2
Hi
Thank you again for a wonderful week with your child. We are so impressed yet again with the way they have settled into the daily changes of the programme and are prepared for learning each day. By now every student is bringing home their 'Home and School' book. Please ensure your child is reading every school night, either a school reader or one of their own choice. Record and sign in the front of the 'Home and School Book' please. Basic facts and Maths knowledge is in the middle and spelling at the back.
We would like to begin 'Discovery' and would appreciate helpers to run our Woodwork station( only 10 students per session) and 2 supervise PE and Music activities. Discovery will be every Monday 10.20-11.30.
Please email if you are able to help. If we get enough helpers we could operate a roster.
regards

Team Work
Students in S4 were trying to work together as a Team. They were trying to save Freddy the worm. His boat capsized and he needed to put his safety ring on and get back into his boat. The students were not able to use their hands, only a paper clip.
